Meet our Leadership Team
Coach Alan
Coach Alan is a highly experienced swim coach with over 20 years of coaching and teaching experience, known for developing technically precise, disciplined, and competitive swimmers. A former MVP and co-captain at Brooklyn Technical High School, he was a three-time PSAL All-Star and held two school records before being recruited to swim at Binghamton University. He competed at the Empire State Games, Sectionals, and New York State Championships, establishing himself as a top swimmer in New York.
As a coach, Alan has worked with athletes of all levels, including an Olympic Trials qualifier and a National Age Group record holder. He served four years at Division II Queens College, including two as Men’s Head Swim Coach, where his swimmers broke multiple school records and consistently finished top 10 in the Metropolitan Swimming Conference. Currently, he is a high school physical education teacher and the head varsity coach for both the Girls and Boys Swim Teams at Stuyvesant High School, leading the program to four city championship titles.
Coach Annie
Annie is a passionate coach who understands the importance of a fun and safe environment for kids to learn to swim. She blends her background in Early Elementary Education and her seventeen year experience in competitive swimming to teach effective stroke techniques. Over her seventeen year career, she received many accolades in high school, college, and USA Swimming. Annie was awarded a four year athletic scholarship to attend the University of Georgia where she participated in NCAAs with her team. Throughout her four years, UGA won three National Team Championships. She has also participated in three Olympic Trials (2008, 2012, and 2016) and has been ranked nationally throughout her career. She is a distinguished member in the USA Swimming community, representing the National Team and National Junior Teams for years. She held multiple National Age Group records and still holds National Age Group records today. Aside from coaching, Annie also manages Swim Safe New York’s social media channels.
Coach LINDA
Linda is a former Canton province (China) team swimmer who specialized in the breaststroke and a former member of the LaGuardia Aquatic Club coaching staff. She has taught numerous swimmers who qualified for the Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Senior Metropolitan, and Speedo Sectional Qualifiers and Junior Nationals. She has over 30 years of coaching and teaching experience.
Coach KENNY
Kenny is also a former Canton province team swimmer who specialized in breaststroke and a former member of the LaGuardia Aquatic Club coaching staff. He, like Linda and Alan, has taught numerous swimmers who qualified for the Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Senior Metropolitan, and Speedo Sectional Qualifiers and Junior Nationals.
